Oxfordshire County Council: Stop making people with learning disabilities homeless through budget cuts – via Change.org

The Government White Paper ‘Valuing People Now’, Chapter Three states ‘All people with learning disabilities and their families have the opportunity to make an informed choice about where, and with whom, they live’, and ‘at the same time, those who plan and commission services should consider how they could develop creative solutions to meeting those aspirations’. Also, ‘Living in your own home does not mean living without support, or being over-dependent on help from family members’.
